MALI BLUES SPRING 2012 PARIS TOUR ANNOUNCED JeConte along with band founders Boubacar Sidibe & Adama Dramé are headed to Paris for 5 days to perform at the MENIL'FEST 2012 !. It should be loads of fun and Vieux Farka Toure will be there as well so we will all get a chance to throw it down Mali Blues style... We are also booked at Le Chansonniers and working on a few other cool spots so stay tuned as we get closer we will let you know where... JeConte & The Mali Allstars are in the studio working on additional tracks for Mali Blues with some very special guests. It is looking like we have compiled some serious tunes and look forward to sharing it with you. We have many special guests coming through the studio and look forward to getting some great music ready our forthcoming release. We are currently in Studio Yeelen in Bamako, Mali and will be until April...with a big mixing and master session to follow... Mali Blues is in its second major recording session prior to its release and we have had some major sessions in Bamako, Mali with some great artists and are having a lot of fun. The band will be working hard on a 'Mali Blues World Tour' and label support to celebrate this amazing music and get the first release out to the World. MALI BLUES POUR LA PAIX We are focused hard on 'Mali Blues pour La Paix' concert series to help the growing situation here in Mali and the album features a great colaborative track called 'Le Monde de Mali' with some amazing performances. We hope to share this and more in a series of concerts for 'Pour la Paix in Mali' later this year. We will be working directly with JeConte's non profit SOULNOW.ORG to raise funds that will help people in Mali. Additionally SOULNOW is focused on building music schools in Mali. Mali Blues is going to be a great experience we look forward to getting your continued support. The band has been on tour in Africa and working hard in the studio for first 3 months of the 2012 working on a double album worth of music, teh mali Blues for Peace project, and teh foundation of JeConte's non profit SOULNOW.ORG. The band has been in studio Yeelen, with many very special guests andteh collaboration is amazing... JeConte performed at 'The Festival in the Desert' with Tinariwen, Vieux Farak Toure, Bassekou Kouyate and multiple other Tuareg bands. The band performed at the Festival Segou and Festval Sellingue and will also perform at the Festival Kayes at teh end of March. JeConte performed for the Preseident of Mali and the Prince of Monaco with Toumani Diabaté and his band. JeConte & Adama Dramé (The Jimi Hendrix of Mali - Seriously) have been jamming all over Bamako, multiple nights a week, and if you are lucky you can catch them at a number of clubs for unanounced sit in's and jams... JeConte performed with Bassekou Kouyate for Nation Malian TV concert on March 17th and has plans to be in the studio with Bela Fleck and Taj Mahal on Bassekou's new album at Tiken Jah's studio vut the Coup interupted that opportunity. The band is working on multiple music videos and is performing at The Festival Kayes the 29th of March, the night before JeConte flies direct to Lafayette Louisiana to record with Anders Osborne for his new album 'Down by the Bayou.'
